Pediatric Radiology CasesWhich DD would be also possible with the radiological findings:

    aneurysmatic bone cyst

Pediatric Radiology CasesCourse / Prognosis / Frequency / Other :

Reposition of the pathologic fracture and retention with titanic splints. Good healing of the fracture and rebuilding of the bone cyst.

Pediatric Radiology CasesComments of the author about the case:

With different possibilities, the intramedullary splinting of pathologic fractures due to juvenile bone cysts has proven itself. One assumes that the splinting stabilizes the fracture as well as creates a connection between the marrow and the cystic cavity, which promotes healing.
