    13 month-old girl with 6 toes on the right foot. The right foot is 9 mm wider than the left.

    Pathology 2:

    In the X-ray, one observes a hypoplastic 5th metatarsal bone in a unnoticeable 6th toe. The 5th toe is normally developed.

    Polydactyly of the feet is by comparison frequent (30:100,000 in caucasian population), the axial type is deemed rare.

    Extirpation of the hypoplastic 5th toe in the 13th month of life. The girl was able to walk without problems at the 6th postoperative week. The feet show the same width.

    Hallo ! Mein Sohn Leon (2Monate) wurde mit 6 Zehen an beiden Füssen geboren. Alle Zehen sind voll funktionsfähig. Wir lassen sie entfernen . Das geht erst ab den 3. monat. Wie verläuft so eine OP?Lg Silvia

      Dear Sir I have no comment but two question s.The first one for cosmetic reason which di- git should be l be removed,
      The one with the rudimentair metatarsal or the six digit and what age it should be removed.Thank you

      Hallo!
      Was ist der Unterschied zwischen Polydaktylie und Hexadaktylie? Ich hatte bei der Geburt einen Daumen zuviel, ähnlich wie auf diesen Bildern, nur eben der Daumen der rechten Hand.
