Schinz-Medaille und Ehrenmitgliedschaft für Prof. Kassa Darge
Herr Prof. Kassa Darge (Philadelphia) hat bei der diesjährigen Jahrestagung der Schweizerischen Röntgengesellschaft am 30. Mai 2008 die höchste Ehrenmedaille -die Schinz-Medaille- und die Ehrenmitgliedschaft der Gesellschaft erhalten. Diese Medaille wird seit 1983 jährlich an international renommierte Radiologen mit überdurchschnittlichen wissenschaftlichen Leistungen vergeben. Nur einmal in der Vergangenheit, 1985, wurde dieser bisher Preis an einem Kinderradiologen, nämlich an Prof. John Kirpatrick, den Chef der Kinderradiologie Harvard, verliehen. Die Verleihung ist eine Ehrung für Herrn Prof. Kassa Darge, aber zugleich auch eine Anerkennung der Leistungen der Kinderradiologie im deutschsprachigen Raum. Professor Darge war bis 2006 Leiter der Kinderradiologie in Würzburg.
