4.5 year-old boy with reoccuring stomach aches and vomiting in a course of 2 years. Various ambulatory consultations at the patients place of residence. Finally, in-patient diagnostics in an outside clinic (MRI).
Admission to our clinic for further diagnostic tests.  

Relict of the omphaloenteric duct.

intraabdominal location, no certain connection to the bladder.

OP-Situs 1: Tubular structure of about 50 cm from the Bauhin valve. From the outside, it looks like a Meckel's diverticulum, contents non-compliant on pressure, no connection to the gut-lumen.


 

Surgery / Histo  

Meckel's diverticulum, mesenterial cyst, urachus cyst.  

Voiding cystography to rule out a connection to the bladder. Laparotomy, removal. No complications or symptoms after surgery.
