 | Pathomorphology or Pathophysiology of this disease : | Relict of the omphaloenteric duct. | |
 | Radiological findings: |
<- view MRI 1
MRI 1: T2-Weighted image sagittal (median slice), large supravesical mass near the umbilicus in the median slice. Fluid contents.
<- view MRI 2
MRI 2: T2-Weighted image sagittal, (Paramedian slice), tubular structure with fluid contents without belonging a specific organ, dysontogenetic cyst?
<- view MRI 3
MRI 3: T2-Weighted image, axial slice, tubular structure, fluid contents, not belonging to a specific organ.
<- view Ultrasound 1
Ultrasound 1: Longitudinal lower abdomen, echo-free, non compliant tubular structure, next to the bladder. Mass is moveable upon breathing -
intraabdominal location, no certain connection to the bladder.
<- view Ultrasound 2
Ultrasound 2: Transverse lower abdomen. echo-free structure with diameter of 24 mm. Structured walls with seemingly mucosa-like structure inside and out. Low-echogenic muscularis?
<- view Ultrasound 3
Ultrasound 3: Doppler: No hyperperfusion
<- view OP-Situs 1
OP-Situs 1: Tubular structure of about 50 cm from the Bauhin valve. From the outside, it looks like a Meckel's diverticulum, contents non-compliant on pressure, no connection to the gut-lumen.

 | Diagnosis confirmation: | Surgery / Histo | |
 | Which DD would be also possible with the radiological findings: | Meckel's diverticulum, mesenterial cyst, urachus cyst. | |
 | Course / Prognosis / Frequency / Other : | Voiding cystography to rule out a connection to the bladder. Laparotomy, removal. No complications or symptoms after surgery. | |
