    13 month-old girl with 6 toes on the right foot. The right foot is 9 mm wider than the left.

    Pathology 2:

    In the X-ray, one observes a hypoplastic 5th metatarsal bone in a unnoticeable 6th toe. The 5th toe is normally developed.

    Polydactyly of the feet is by comparison frequent (30:100,000 in caucasian population), the axial type is deemed rare.

    Extirpation of the hypoplastic 5th toe in the 13th month of life. The girl was able to walk without problems at the 6th postoperative week. The feet show the same width.
