 | History: | 6 year-old girl, after falling from her bicycle. Swelling, pain in the elbow-joint, functio laesia, no vasculature dysfunctions, no somatic or motor nerve deficiencies.
Surgery, Kirschner-Wire Fixation in an anatomically, axially correct position without rotational mistake. After 3 years, however, angular malalignment -19° - regarding the flexion axis in the elbow joint, causing varus malposition, slight rotational deficiency. | |
 | Pathomorphology or Pathophysiology of this disease : | Due to the mechanism of trauma, the physeal space in the sense of a physeal space-crash trauma changes. Result can be a premature closure of the space. Particularly, the partial epiphyseal closure can lead to deviations in the axis. A secondary treatment possibility is the correction osteotomy after growth has ceased. A primary treatment after such a trauma is not possible. | |
 | Radiological findings: |
<- view X-Ray 1
X-ray 1: Emergency image: Supracondylar humeral fracture with dislocation of the condylar plate radially and dorsally.
<- view X-Ray 2
X-ray 2: after strategic fixation through 2 Kirschner wires: correct axis position, no rotation mistake. This image is a follow up 2 months after trauma.
<- view X-Ray 3
X-ray 3: 3 years after trauma: premature closure of the physeal gap at the ulnar condylus, thereby causing an axis deviation of -19°.

 | Course / Prognosis / Frequency / Other : | Early arthrosis and functional diminishing are expected. | |
