    MRI 1 <- view MRI 1

MRI 1: (T2-TIRM-Sequence):Signal intense, partly inhomogenic mass in the calf musclulature, which shows air-fluid levels.

    MRI 2 <- view MRI 2

MRI 2: (T1): Signal intense mass in comparison to the muscles, also showing air-fluid levels.

    MRI 3 <- view MRI 3

MRI 3: (T1 with IV contrast and fat saturation): Somewhat nodular, somewhat cystic areas of the tumor in the calf musculature. Spanning contact to the tibia without infiltration of the bone.

    MRI 4 <- view MRI 4

MRI 4: (T1 with IV contrast and fat saturation)

Ultrasound (not shown): In the musculature of the right calf, there was a spindle-like mass with measurements of 6.3 x 3.2 x 2.6 cm. The area showed an inhomogenic echo texture with small triangular liquid specks and was bound by a capsel-like wall. The area of the mass showed no muscle-like structures.

     Pediatric Radiology CasesDiagnosis confirmation:

    Surgery / Histo

Pediatric Radiology CasesWhich DD would be also possible with the radiological findings:

Other soft-tissue tumors, particularly the synovial sarcoma.

Pediatric Radiology CasesCourse / Prognosis / Frequency / Other :

Histological confirmation using DE. No complete surgery, since only a functionally impaired result would be awaited. During chemotherapy, the tumor decreased well. Now, radiation treatment with a possible second surgery.
